True Self

I'm very proud to have been asked to once again to contribute to Melbourne GPO's True Self exhibition in aid of the charity Fitted for Work, who do a stirling job by assisting women entering the workforce, by mentoring and securing them employment.
Once again the brief was collaborative, but this time it was to be in conjunction with a photographer. I was incredibly honoured to be paired with the dynamic duo of LOVEWANT magazine, Bec Parsons and Bart Celestiono.
The pictures above are part of the creative process.
I screen printed and drew onto laser cut shaped perspex, mixing some of Becs photographs of blossoms and figures alongside linear geometric shapes. The pieces slotted together to create a large 2metre sculpture that Bec and Bart went on to photograph.
The final A0 framed large format photograph will be unveiled on the opening night and will be for sale alongside nine other creative pairings, some of whom I'm completely biased towards because they're friends.
Private view is on the 30th of May from 6.30pm, opening from the 31st. Find all the details here.
